About me

I'm a Frontend Developer based in the Netherlands, specialising in building responsive, user-focused web applications with React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS. My background is a bit different from most frontend developers: I spent 5+ years in the finance and banking industry working as a software engineer, where I developed strong SQL skills and maintained complex, high-stakes systems. That experience gave me a deep understanding of data integrity, reliability, and the kind of attention to detail that financial products demand. I made the deliberate move into frontend development to be closer to the product and the user, building interfaces that are not just functional, but genuinely good to use. I've completed web development programmes including Microsoft Cloud Advocates and freeCodeCamp, and have since built a range of projects using React, TypeScript, MongoDB, and more. I'm currently open to frontend or full-stack roles, particularly in fintech, banking, or any team that values clean code and thoughtful UI. If that sounds like a fit, I'd love to hear from you.
